• What is the minimum age to join this trip?

  The minimum age to travel unaccompanied is 18. For minors traveling with a guardian over 21 years old, the minimum age is 12.

• Is there an extra cost for solo travelers?

  Solo travelers are paired in twin or multi-share accommodation with someone of the same sex, so there is no single supplement on group trips. However, exceptions apply for the rafthouse (Night 2) and the overnight train (Night 4).

• What is the maximum group size for this tour?

  The maximum group size for this tour is 16 participants.

• What type of accommodation can I expect on this trip?

  Accommodation includes hotels/guesthouses for 11 nights, a rafthouse for 1 night, and a sleeper train for 1 night. A variety of styles are used; some local guesthouses might have small rooms or shared facilities, and properties may not have elevators.

• What meals are included in the tour price?

  The tour includes 12 breakfasts, 2 lunches, and 2 dinners.

• What are the main highlights of this trip?

  Highlights include an overnight stay on a traditional floating rafthouse, exploring the pagodas and ruins of Ayutthaya, hearing monks chanting in golden Buddhist temples, discovering idyllic lagoons and waterfalls on Koh Phangan, and relaxing at beach bars in Koh Tao.

• What modes of transportation are used during the tour?

  Transportation includes train, local bus, private vehicle, walking, plane, and ferry. Please note that alternative transport may be arranged for train journeys during local public holidays if space is insufficient.

• Are international and local flights included in the tour price?

  International flights are generally not included. However, all local flights within Thailand are included in the cost of your tour unless otherwise noted.

• What health considerations should I be aware of before traveling?

  Inoculations may be required, so consult your travel doctor. It is recommended to carry a First Aid kit, hand sanitizers, and personal medical requirements, as medical facilities may be remote. Our CEOs are prohibited from administering any type of drug.

• What are the visa and entry requirements for Thailand?

  All countries require a valid passport (minimum 6 months validity). Most nationalities do not need a visa for Thailand for stays of 30 days or less. As of May 1st, 2025, all non-Thai nationals must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online at least 3 days before arrival.

• How should I dress to respect local customs in Thailand?

  Dress standards in Asia are more conservative. Pack loose, lightweight, long clothing. When visiting villages, temples, mosques, or other holy sites, please dress respectfully and avoid very short shorts/skirts and singlets/tank-tops.

• What optional activities are available during the trip?

  Optional activities include a Half-Day Chiang Mai Cycling Tour, Street Food Walk at Chiang Mai Night Market, Northern Thai Cooking Class, Koh Pha-Ngan Waterfalls Exploration, Swimming, Yoga and Meditation Courses, Hiking on Koh Pha-Ngan, and Stand Up Paddleboarding at Koh Samui.

• Is travel insurance compulsory for this trip?

  Yes, travel insurance is compulsory. You will need a minimum of USD 200,000 coverage for medical expenses, including emergency evacuation and repatriation. It is strongly recommended to also cover personal liability, cancellation, curtailment, and loss of luggage.

• What should I know about currency and money exchange in Thailand?

  The local currency is Thai Baht. The best way to carry money is with debit cards for ATM withdrawals (Visa and Mastercard are generally accepted). USD cash is recommended for emergencies when ATMs are not accessible. Credit cards can be used at some upmarket restaurants and larger stores.

• How much emergency money should I bring?

  You should have access to at least an additional USD $200 (or equivalent) as an emergency fund, to be used for circumstances outside our control.

• What happens if Ang Thong National Park is closed?

  Ang Thong National Park is closed annually during monsoon season (typically mid-October to mid-December) and occasionally during extreme weather. Should this occur, an alternative activity, such as a Lake Cheow Lan excursion, will be provided.

• What is the company's policy on drugs and the sex trade?

  Illegal drugs are not tolerated and possessing or using them contravenes local laws and puts the group at risk. The exploitation of people in the sex trade is completely contrary to our philosophy. Our CEOs have the right to expel any group member found violating these rules.

• Are there laundry facilities available during the trip?

  Laundry facilities are offered by some of our hotels for a charge. We suggest you bring non-polluting/biodegradable soap for times when you may need to do your own laundry.

• Who will be leading the group?

  All group trips are accompanied by one of our Chief Experience Officers (CEO) throughout the tour.
